Feeling like youâre drinking from a firehose? Youâre not alone!
If youâd like me to talk you off the ledge:), let's chat privately ASAP.
Keep in mind...
Now that we are deep into Q4, what Iâm hearing (now more than ever) is that individuals and teams are feeling overwhelmed, depleted, and losing motivation.
Your or your teamâs highest sense of impact and contribution DO NOT live here, and itâs virtually an impossible pace to sustain.
This, of course, has a huge ripple down effect on productivity, profitability as well as talent retention... not to mention on the overall sense of well-being and impact on the family. As you can imagine, this is costly. Upwards of $500 billion dollars of lost revenue a year according to a recent Gallup study.
If you are an ambitious heart-centered leader, we lose even more. We lose your ability to access your highest sense of contribution, your ability to influence up and have the biggest voice possible at the table at a time whe...
"Talk me off the ledge, or I quit!â
Have you been feeling that way, or is it possible your team is?
Maybe it's the back-to-back-to-back-to-back meetings with little time to do your work (nonetheless time to strategize for the future.) Letâs not even talk about your "me" time to take care of yourself and nourish your soulâŚ
The great resignation is a thing, and letâs make sure you and your team are not part of it.
Unfortunately, itâs not where your (or your team's) greatest creativity, innovative ability, or profitability exist. If you are grinding it out, do you want to keep working this way, and how will it affect your ability to have your greatest impact?
The great news is that there are ways to take some control back and create more time for what matters!
Hereâs a great place to start which is taken from Greg McKeownâs book, Essentialism...
He mentions a "Zero-Based Budgeting Approach." Itâs similar to when accountants start from zero rather than from incorp...

I think itâs safe to say that most of us have found ourselves in this predicament. Clamming up when we know we should speak up. Maybe itâs an awkward situation. Maybe there is a lot at stake. Maybe itâs just easier not to say anything. Whether itâs in our living room or in the boardroom, your voice needs to be heard. Change for the better will require us all to speak up when our gut and our heart tell us to do so.
Easier said than done, right?
Yep, and weâre not alone.
A recent survey done by LeanIn and SurveyMonkey polled approximately 7,400 women and men in the workplace. While 80% of those polled considered themselves allies, less than half of the women (most notably women of color) say they have strong allies in the workplace.
Also, consider that it can be extremely difficult to âinfluence upâ. In other words, share your perspective with senior leadership especially when there is a lot at stake. Maybe you are asked to do something th...
Have you ever had a day where you had so many meetings that there was no time to strategize or do YOUR work (not to mention fit in a morning routine)? If you feel like youâre lacking control of your schedule and productivity, that can be frustrating and exhausting. If this sounds familiar, I hear this about 10 times a week in private and confidential sessions, in group trainings and in chat rolls that are lit up with these types of comments, so youâre most definitely not alone!
We need to pause that right now.Â
Why?
According to Passport Health, a corporate wellness company, if this is not addressed, there can be physical and psychological health consequences as well as serious and deleterious effects on profitability. The ripple effect of this can be staggering for a region or an entire company.
When it comes to YOU, youâre needed now more than ever. Your expertise, your passion and compassion, your leadership, and your G-d given...

Do you ever use July as a time to pause, plan and possibly make a course correction for the remainder of the year?
Is it that time?
These are great to do every year to make sure youâre running in the right direction, running towards what matters most, and running in a way that you can sustain.Â
Itâs a great time to take an honest inventory of how the year has gone up to this point and giving deep thought to how youâd like it to finish. Itâs a time to reflect and celebrate the âwinsâ as well as a time to shine a light on where to be more bold, more courageous, and where to step up and serve at an even higher level.
Itâs also a time to reflect on excuses and stories that are no longer of service, boundaries needed and the consistent action to take to make 2H 2021 the best possible.Â
Whenever we are looking to shift or move to the next level (promotion, board seat, shifting direction in a role, shifting out of a role, shifting into a new roleâŚ), fear and doub...
